What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I put an FZ09 sticker on the back slider glass and started building a bed rack. I’m picking up ‘18 leaf springs and a kayak tomorrow. I’ll just strap it in the bed for the drive home.

 

That sounds easier than sanding down and painting the flare clips

 

Changed the plugs for the 5th time today, ~152,000 miles. Actually was able to change the front drivers side plug without excessive swearing and killing my knuckles. Small hand people have no idea how much of a pain that one can be.

Found they are good in snow but suck in the rain.

 

I gotta wiggle mine to get it to work too. Oh snap, wrong forum...

 

They are garbage in rain, but from the reviews, so is every other MT tire

Added new speakers and headunit today. Good lord it’s nice having this HU in!! Still waiting on the Subaru tweeters to come in to finish it off. May sound deaden, may not. May be a waste of time with the bed liner floor.

 

Yea they aren't light weight by any shot. I have the Hutchinson Rock Monsters which are about 54lbs each plus the added weight of the 285/70/17 Toyo MT's.

The back wall is a good spot for it for sure. I took out the plastic pieces that cover that wall and I literally looked all around the truck for a window being down once I got on the road. You don't need to cover the entire panel, a little makes a big difference.

 

So last month my neighbor bought himself a 2019 Corvette Grand Sport Coupe 2LT. I am so intrigued that I’m considering one myself. While looking at the engine, I couldn’t help notice the detail and in particular, the Mobil 1 badge. Well today he presented me with my very own badge. I found the perfect location right Above the filler neck and cap.
