Hey guys I am a newbie to off-roading and am looking to upgrade my daily driver Tacoma. Currently I do not have the funds to get a lift kit and I don't want to cheap out and get a budget one. My stock rear shocks are going bad and I need to replace them. I am looking for help on choosing adjustable rear shocks that I can use with my current stock front shock ride height. I want to raise the front a couple inches in the future to fit 33 inch tires and I am trying to avoid having to buy stock rear shocks and then buy lifted ones later. Any advice that I can get on this will be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Graham Foster

Okay thank you so much! I love your bubbles profile pic by the way! Do you think that two inches of rear lift will be enough to clear 33s? I have 31s right now and they seem to fit great with stock suspension with minimal rubbing.

You can probably find some low mileage 3rd gen shocks for CHEAP and just use those till you can do a full lift like you want. I just picked up front and rear shocks/springs/leafs and UCAs from a local 3rd gen owner for $100. Seems like you can get this whole setup for $50-250 depending on the deal you find. I know around here they're quite plentiful and there are tons on Offerup / Craigslist.

Thanks for the suggestion but I think I am going to go with the Bilstein shocks. Do I only need to order the shocks themselves or is there any other parts needed for the install?
