    Nope. We know what it is now. You've never owned a quiet vehicle. Your opinion is skewed because you don't know what a quiet vehicle is supposed to sound like. To you the Tacoma is the quietest vehicle because you haven't owned anything newer or quieter. How many vehicles have you driven/owned? Yeah, that explains it.

    This isn't about apologies. You don't have experience with anything newer then then your bare bones early first gen taco that's 20+ years old? Vehicles have gotten much more comfortable and much more quiet in the last two decades. Take a test drive in one of the new ones at that dealer you go to, you will see how much quieter and softer and plush and comfy that new one is. You gotta test it. You gotta get some experience behind other vehicles man. You have a very small experience pool of vehicles driven. There is a HUGE automotive world out there!

    i have been test driving some newer 'economy' cars, the old Corolla is on its last legs and just trying to stretch it out some more until the right car comes along!
    but its very slim pickens at the Toyota dealer for cars equipped with MT these days, Honda seems to have the most MT in variety for some reason

    So driving home last night one of my brake pads decided to give up the ghost and allowed the metal backing plate to come into contact with my Tacoma rotor.
    I had previously ordered all of the necessary parts to install the Tundra big brake upgrade.
    When I went to install the new stainless steel line, I discovered it was to short. So I went to NAPA and had them order me longer standard brake lines, which will be in tomorrow. Then I can replace them with the correct stainless lines at a later date.

    So because my pad went out and caused this;


    This happened:

    And now my truck is down for a couple of weeks waiting on the correct lines.

    I also installed longer wheel studs for more bight from my lug nuts.

    I called LCE and asked if they would sell me JUST the two front lines as I do not need the rear one. They said no! And they are very proud of their product. Adventure Taco has the parts for less, but he is out having fun and won't be back for a couple of weeks.

    I had the rear SS line already installed and hadn't noticed it was already extended and bought the kit anyway as I didn't want to fuss with it.
    I little more expensive but plug play from LCE standpoint, not so easy with the Tacoma hard lines...

    I don't think so, it could probably be turned down. But I have wanted to do the Tundra brake upgrade for a long time, just not now.

    Ive been getting diff fluid coming out of the front vent tubes in the morning. It’s happened a few times. But only when it’s cold. Should I be concerned?

    Okay. That’s good. I haven’t had a chance to pull my skids off and check the levels

    Trust me its not but if it solves the oil loss it’ll be worth it. :fingerscrossed: I had a great time trying to wrestle the diff out. Arms got too tired to continue for the night
