    Horrible.

Do not destroy your DC 4X4 with that junk.

Why are you even lifting your truck if you don't mind me asking?

OP, get whatever you want. You don’t need the best, and this forum isn’t the best source for “should I get this?”

.. especially for a 16 year olds budget.

Don't let these folks make the decision for you. Do what you want, it's your truck.

Overall it's nothing special, just makes the truck taller. I'm pretty happy with my N2.0 rear shocks for what I paid for them.

If you're just driving down the road the kit will do what it needs to, make your truck taller, but that is absolutely it. It adds zero functionality, almost no ground clearance and adds a few key weak points if you're planning on offroading (spindle extensions, rear blocks, lower control arm drop brackets)

First of all take a few measurements and make sure your truck will fit in all garages (and parking complexes) you intend to use. Add a couple of inches (so 8 inches total) to account for larger tires you will probably to run:

I would advise against it. I bought me with a different brand lift but same height and it takes away a lot from the ride quality. It’ll be leany on turns and is overall a pain, especially considering that , in my opinion, that’s too much height for a truck this small and to return back to more traditional lifts is a huge pain as the cross member with need to be cut and modified to allow for the differential drop. If it were me I’d go with something more traditional that won’t alter your frames crossmember. That’s a long commute to not be happy with the ride.

It rides pretty good especially with the all terrains it’s smooth. I drive on the interstate most of the time and it’s smooth going 75 or 80.

Get the 2.5 lift RC. It gives plenty of lift, if you get much higher it’s going to want to roll every turn. It’s also cheaper for the 2.5. Light off-roading and daily driving it’s good.

Merry christmas to you too!

But seriously, @bobbittjack, think long and hard about why you feel the need for a 6" lift. This has been discussed ad nauseum here, as you no doubt already have seen because you know we all hate RC lifts.

Read through the dozens of RC related threads, and think about why this kit is the cheapest 6" kit on the market. Ask yourself if that's something you'd be willing to spend your hard earned money on...

If you intend to go off roading with your truck, just for the love of god avoid these 6" kits (even the expensive ones). Go for better and stronger shocks, upper control arms, etc... and keep it to 3" or less lift. For $800 you can get a much much better suspension system if you stick to 3" lift.

Plus, you don't have to cut off the cross member to mount the drop brackets.

He asked for opinions, so we're giving him our opinions. I'm certainly not the only one.

I'm glad it works for you.

As long as you have "cheapest on the market" expectations, sure, it's a great lift... "for the price"...

Are you raising your post count, or going to contribute?

What's wrong with the advice that was given?

You didn't answer the question; what's wrong with the advice given going against an RC kit?

    And that's your opinion right?

We can leave it at that.

What was suggested earlier by @jbrandt was an alternative to the RC kit. Granted, aftermarket suspension would yield roughly half the height that the RC kit would provide, it does so with reliable components and better ride quality.

I thought someone like you would appreciate that seeing as how you're listing that you have a long travel kit on your own truck (signature).
