Let's See Your Dogs!!

I don’t know if Mishka caught a flying jalapeño or what she found in the backyard last night. It’s near 30 for a couple days, so she would have had to disturbed a nest...she won’t tell me. Really swollen muzzle and redness in both eyes (especially the right one). Pretty restless night for her and I, as she didn’t want to sleep in her bed (in my room). She and I were by the back door so she could go out numerous times (!!!) during the night. Momma gave her anti inflammatory last night, and I just popped another one in her this morning. It’s not as bad now as it was last night.

 

I wish Mishka a full and speedy recovery

 

I can’t like this. Do y’all still have snakes out at this time of year? Maybe she was bitten.

We barely have snakes in the summer lol. One of the pack had a “mystery” swelling about 2 weeks ago, but not nearly this harsh. Everybody reacts differently to the same bite. But then, when Mishka goes for something, it’s all in. Im gonna see if she might “tell” me something once it warms up a bit, we will walk around and see what we can find in the yard

My dog is very happy that my parents dogs are gone, their oldest (about 7) has arthritis and I let him sleep inside and he usually comes to my bed to sleep instead of using his dog bed, when he does that he takes Athena’s spot on the bed and she sleeps in the living room.


I also found an old picture of Athena today, I think it was after the first time that we had her trimmed.

Well that lasted 2 day. Kong has only survived

 

Thanks for asking. Swelling subsided considerably, and she’s been playing all afternoon. A little redness still in her eyes, but all in all, she seems to be doing much MUCH better.
