Trust me its not but if it solves the oil loss it’ll be worth it. :fingerscrossed: I had a great time trying to wrestle the diff out. Arms got too tired to continue for the night

I ended up pulling mine out by myself after a buddie flaked on me. Pro tip, bench press that sucker and spin to the passenger side, when you get the rear mount bolt almost out use a stout punch or whatever fists through the rear mount bolt and push it out. Took me a few minutes once I thought of that.

I got the rear mount bolt up and out of position but now the drive shaft flange is getting hung up on the bell housing. Dropped the rack to get more space to move but still no luck yet. Going to re-try tomorrow with fresh arm energy

When I did mine it was a major pain. I don't remember exactly how I finally got it out. Good luck.

Hmmmmm. My rear mount was the issue, and most of what I've heard about. It's hard to explain, but laying with my head to the front, I pushed up while turning to the passenger side and tilted down. Took maybe 15 minutes of fucking around till it just slid out. Are you auto? Might make a difference.

Removed the crappy old screw clamps on my upper radiator hose and got some OEM clamps to address my coolant leak. Seems to have fixed the issue.

Should be easy to turn on a lathe.

6mm smaller shaft on the manual hubs forever was asking why they are weak.

You shouldn't need to remove the steering rack to get the diff out. If you lower the front of the diff while rotating the rear up and out of the frame mount, the flange should slide right past the bellhousing. It's more of a finesse thing than a brute force thing. Always easier said than done though.

No it’s EPDM high temp rubber with aramid reinforced fibers...whatever that means. Came in a kit from Continental with all coolant hoses. Cheaper than OEM replacement.

Finally got around to cleaning the tree sap and dirt off the camper shell I bought. Mid-clean:

Washed the rest of the truck while I was at it.

Installed the battery I got in the group buy. It’s a little taller so I had to stack some washers under my tie down. Bummed to see that the acid from the last battery ate some of the powder coat off the tie down:
