Sounds like you didn’t program the module per the instructions. It’s on the back side of the 200?-2010 installation instructions.

You are having the same problem I initially did sir. I can walk you through the module reset. I think I screen shotted the company’s response I will look and tag you in it. Give me a second.

As far as the antenna. The black connector goes to the antenna and the white one goes into the module all the way to the right in the black port. The blue port is for the phone module.

I understand your frustration as I felt the directions were very very VERY vague. They should have included the reset instructions with the frickin unit. And in the video install they don’t even show plugging into the module or where they rest it inside the dash. However. Once it is working for you, you will be very very happy.

Give me a second I’ll be in touch

ALSO. MY module did not blink the green lights like the instructions say so. Even after the module reset, but I still followed the program procedure without the lights and it worked fine. Something important to note

That was it! Thank you so much. Since I have 2014 I wouldn’t think to look on the back of the 2010 paper. Working like a champ!

This is why I love this forum. People are so willing to help out. Thank you to everyone who responded and was willing to help. I needed to follow the instructions on the back of the 05’- 10’ paper. It shows how to set up the module unit. After that, works awesome. Tomorrow I will button it all up. Thanks again all.

Is anyone using these units with something like a Scangauge or Ultragauge plugged into the OBDII extender? I saw a fella on Youtube who had installed a 12V kit in a 4Runner and he had a bluetooth OBDII unit plugged in that made the starter continue to run even after the vehicle started. Not good haha.

    TIA

If anyone needs to reset their module, here are the instructions. If you can’t get big connector out, pulling the fuse works too

Very curious for someone to try this.

Just to confirm for those with the 12v kit. Does unlocking only unlock the driver door? Can the button be pressed twice to unlock all doors like with the OEM remote? Also when the headlight switch is left on and you unlock the car no lights flash? That's kind of crap haha

Can anyone with an accessorides kit confirm these as well?

Yes its kinda odd the DTRLs and taillights only flash when your light switch is turned off... but if left switched on no lights flash. But i never leave mine on so doesnt bother me. Its pretty impressive with the PitStop mode that i dont think any other company offers so something like the lights not flashing in one instance doesnt bother me one bit.

As far as unlocking the doors, when you hit to unlock it already unlocks all four doors, not just the driver one.

Im not too familiar with the Accesorides kit. Never looked into it or compared

Weird, has anyone contacted 12v about this?

I contacted Accessorides and they confirmed their kit can unlock all doors, has a pit stop mode and also exhibits the same light flashing behavior as the 12v solution. I think the deal breaker between the two kits is warranty and if either exhibit OBD issues. I use a Bluetooth scanner for troubleshooting so what was posted earlier concerns me.

The 12v kit has a 1 year warranty with an optional lifetime for $60. The Accessorides comes with a 3 year warranty

Agreed on potential OBDII issues, this is the vid where a T4R had an issue with another module. Around the 11:30 mark, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-yBdS54-Z0

I'd hate to give up the ScanGauge as I use that to monitor trans temp while towing.

Thanks for posting that, I sent an email to them asking what their thoughts were on it. I could probably get around having to not have a scanner plugged in at the initial start but obviously one would need to be able to use the OBD port while the vehicle is running. I'd also be worried about forgetting it's plugged in and damaging the starter or flywheel. The guy seems to blame it on his cheap chinese OBD scanner but doesn't indicate if a "higher quality" scanner exhibits the same problem

Something struck me as interesting while I was sifting through the youtube comments of that video. Someone said the Accessorides remote start is a Compustar DC3. Compustar has a limited lifetime warranty on their modules if installed by an authorized installer and he said the same system installed would cost less than the Accessorides kit. I'll do some poking around to verify this

I'd be interested to hear if they've had any experiences with aftermarket OBDII but there must be a million combinations out there so I don't have my hopes up other than just buying and trying. I do prefer the Accessorides over the 12V kit as I like that remote slightly more but I'd likely go with whatever works.
