I went today and looked at a 2010 doublecab short bed TRD offroad 4x4 (damn that's alot of adjectives!). 18000 miles on the odometer. So it's essentially brand new I know. They are asking 30,000 dollars for it tho! That seems high to me. Is it about right. Kbb showed 27450 when I put it in. I don't know how accurate that is tho. When I was looking at the truck and the salesman was out there I decided to see how much he actually knew about it (it's at a chevy dealer) I asked him if it had the atrac system on it. He replied "No, it has a cd player." on a bright note they offered me almost 9000 for my truck.

hahaha the cd player comment is great.

But anyways...that seems very high for used. I'd say around 24-25K range is good.

negotiate them to a lower price tag...for 2010 (seeing as the year isn't even over yet) 18K on any vehicle in less than a year is high mileage...

I do a lot of road trips and my truck 5 years old this month I just hit 48K miles...less than 10K a year...

I could have gotten the same truck but with zero miles for 28,900..... they want way too much.

Depending on what kind of truck you are trading in ? and how much they are giving you. what the market is were you are at? ETC
Just for a little comparison I bought my truck NEW for 29,000(v6,4x4,sr5,towpackage,dc,lb) and got alot of money back on my trade.
If 30,000 is in your price range I would look at new truck if i were you.
Our trucks are hold value too well.

I bought a 2008 TRD new in 2008 for 27,500. I'd try to get them to lower it.

Yeah, they're jerking you around. My new in the lot (as in, still with the plastic on the hood from the transfer truck) 09 DC SB Sport 4x4 was $29K ish, not counting my trade in value.

Paying more than I did for a used car? Freaking idiotic.

No one pays sticker, so it's always going to be high.

But yes, these trucks hold their value.

Seems high, you could get brand new for the same money. Since they are not a Toyota dealership thy cannot certify either, so in 18,000 more miles your warranty is up. I would go new or certified.

Ask him if you can get an 8track installed? Hilarious.

I went to the lot to look at a used 09' that they were asking $30k for, left the lot with a spankin' new 10' for a grand less. Used car pricing is policies are wacky.

I just paid 24,500 for a brand new 2010 TRD Sport D/C S/B 4X4 6 speed manual. And that included all fees, taxes, and upgrade to the 4 years free maint. They gave me 20,500 for my 2008 Honda Accord. So look what I really paid for it.

    That price is too high.

    I just bought an 11 4x4 DC TRD/OR Auto & Tow for 30k OTD.

    Tacos do hold their value.
