Suave, don't wait for OVTune post warranty, it really is worth it now. It is undectable by the dealership, and waaay worth it. Also, if you really fear voiding the warranty, you can flash back to stock before taking it in. Seriously, OVTune is worth the cost.

This is a true statement. The 4.30 still doesn't feel aggressive enough and I never hit 6th with 33" tires.

Just that it downshifts to 5 th gear on a slight overpass. And doesn't stay in 6 th gear enough for me. Will downshift to 4th and rev 3k on a significant uphill. Other than that the trans is solid. I don't feel it will fail. Just dances between gears too much because the power of the 3.5 is in a higher range than a normal truck. Not a REAL issue, just an annoyance.

How much was the loss in value when you traded in? The engine and output is still the same. I sometimes think of a trade in, but when I do, I want a giant leap in technology and features. Small incremental updates aren't worth the loss to me.

I actually got a great offer via email for a trade in, I was all in, until I drove one.
I booked mine out to 26k and got a 26.5k offer.

Op that would drive me crazy too. Get a 2nd gen, the 4.0 torque and trans is solid. It's well documented the pwr train on the 3rd gens are the weak point. Get the OV tune because may be another 8 years before 4th gen? LOL

What if you just moved the gear selector over to the left to keep it from shifting up. It auto-selects 4th. Good for hills. Just a thought:notsure:

True, you don't realize what gear it is in because you are busy on your cell phone on SnatchChat! Oh Snap!

I test drove the sport 2020 in a automatic I found that the transmission shifts more linear. Still has lag accelerating when u want to go pass someone . The reason I bought a 2020 trd off road in a manual transmission .I love the way it handles and I tell it when to shift . You might want to test drive a manual one and see how it goes. Another thing u need to remember is that in a automatic its a learning transmission and u need to give it time to break in .Its not a sports car its a truck .I wouldn't kick the truck to the curb till u really try it with a manual and a 15min test drive doesn't do the truck justice .These trucks take some time to break in and they get better with mileage.

This post sounds like it's an OV Tune commercial.
