How did you clear the spindles with 17s spacers?

I don't have any idea how I didn't notice that! Lol I was really considering getting this lift until I found out I can't run 17's. I ordered 17" Venomrex wheels in Bronze. The only 6" kit that says I can run a 17 is the Rough Country kit.

    I wanna know too! @tubesteak4u2

Oh wow I didn't know that there were any kits that let you run 17s without spacers. Good to know. Planning my 8" lift for the future

Got tired of the mall crawler and bashing here. Got banned when I retaliated. Anywho, my last Tacoma (2006, runnin 37s. w/an expensive mix of parts.) Current is 2017 with 6in procomp and 35s. Might get some coilovers and ditch the stock springs and block.

How does it fit? Factory bolt holes for the original?
Any mods needed to make it fit?

Yes bolts on factory skid plate rails. I have the 2nd gen skid plate over the black factory skid. I did have to trim my black factory skid on side to make it fit.

Not really, when removing, the black one will hook on factory rails while u take white one. I was a lube tech before, so for me a piece of cake.

When the drop bracket is installed at the very lowest the bracket will sit at the same height off the ground as the factory cross member, or will it actually sit lower?

You are correct in the fact that it cannot be made lower in the sense of it's relative closeness to the ground. That member is still the same distance from the ground, being that this is where your lower arms attach. The diameter of your tire is the only way to raise (bigger tires)or lower (smaller tires) that cross member.

Those that say you are "losing" ground clearance with drop bracket lifts are not well informed.

Good luck and happy wheeling whatever your choice ends up being!

Okay that's what I was thinking but I've seen all these comments about losing clearance with the bracket. Lol
If you crank the front coilovers to a 2.5" lift on top of the bracket lift you'll be at the same clearance under your axles as a 2.5" only lift plus the added 6" of center body clearance as well.
