guys I have a 2019 Tacoma automatic and wife has 2019 ford ranger, there is no comparison on drivetrain, the ranger kicks butt, but the Tacoma is beautiful compared to the fugly ranger. Just wish Toyota would get a turbo engine on the Tacoma, then no one could even come close. The ranger does not do the dick dance from 6 to 5 to 4th up and down......ranger just goes to 10th on interstate and stays there...…..torque is a wonderful thing...….don't know about longevity of the 4 cylinder turbo, time will tell, but my insanity is gone driving the wifes ranger on long road trips...….

    A few.
With me personally, I noticed when i had the Borla exhaust on my 2019 that i noticed it shifting more from 4th 5th and 6th gears. I wasnt sure if the exhaust was causing it from a drop in low end torque or that i was just able to notice it more because of the louder exhaust. It ended up annoying me too much so i reinstalled the stock exhaust.

I would suggest, take a 2020 non pro for a test ride with the factory stock exhaust and see if its any different just to be sure.

All you’ve got out there are slight overpasses. Use more skinny pedal.
