And what does that tell you about the quality of that 6" kit?

Is this the one with the funky ball joint extensions?

If it is no way I would put that on my truck

According to some in this thread, the DB kit LOOKS better than the Fabtech kit.

    So there's that...

    I thought it was.

op you do want you want. I just saying those ball joint spacers look dangerous. It’s a really cheap/poor design and there’s no way in hell I would use that lift on my truck

I thought that was the trail gear or similar name lift and they stopped making them.

Come on guys, this is NOT the Trail Master kit. It's not that abortion that removes the UCA and does a stupid weird shock thing to the top of the spindle.
The RC has spacers that go over the top of the coilover assembly and knuckle extensions. That's how all DB lifts work unless they come with replacement knuckles. Read the instructions. Let's try to at least give him accurate info.

Yeah that’s what I was talking about. This kit doesn’t do that?

No, it doesn't. Despite all the misinformation.
It retains the factory UCA and just has a coilover extension and a knuckle extension. Like literally every other DB lift has.

What misinformation are you referring to? @mynewtoy asked if this used those weird "balljoint extensions." I answered yes, because it does. They're not as bad as the trail master "abortion", but that's a really low bar.

Yes, other more expensive drop bracket lifts also use balljoint spacers, which is why they are crap, too, IMO. At least Fabtech, and Tuff Country use new spindles in some of their kits. But they also still use blocks in the rear, which is why IMO they're still crap. But as I've said before, I'd rather do something that increases performance than just make my tuck taller so I can drive to the mall.

Well yeah. If you're more concerned with how your lift kit's cross member looks, vs. how the entire thing functions, then you're already going down the path of not really caring how it functions. Might as well get whatever is cheapest...

There really aren't that many options afaik for 6" lifts for 1st gens. Other choices would be SAS, which there are even fewer compete "kits" on the market. Long travel is another option, but those usually lift less than 6", like 4" maybe.
