Time for Toyota to put CVT's in the Tacoma and dump the sux speed.

I'm here posting reality, not brand koolaid. Loves me some Toyota but they can do better! I hope to see some improvement in 2021! You all think differently, go you!

Man. I hate how these automatics shift automatically.

No issues with my 2020 transmission whatsoever. It shifts very smoothly and appropriately for any conditions that I have been in over the past 2k miles.

I have a pro, but expect that other's experience may be the product of erratic throttle input and expectations that the taco is a sportscar, not a midsize truck with a V6. For me, the truck is a fantastic everyday vehicle that returns good fuel economy and overall performance.

I have a sportscar with a manual trans to scratch the go fast itch. I think folks need to temper their expectations a bit and realize that it's tuned and geared for mpg vs performance.

    OME and worth every penny.
I think the Ridgeline either has or is getting a 9 spd.

    It will be worse.

That's just the way it is with close ratio auto. gearing. You'll be begging for a CVT when the 10 spds. are in everything.

The 10 Speed in my F150 shifts great. It’s really well thought out.

I planned on buying a 2020 Pro this w/e, but not happy with zero progress from 2016, I'm hoping to see some improvement in the Tundra or Tacoma in 2021.
