Damn are we all catholic in here? I hated going to church as a kid because i was forced to do it...

 

Ditto, well luckily we weren't put in Catholic schools but we had to do weekly Sunday school and church every week...communion, confirmation, the whole 9 yards

See the southern baptist way is just...better. Communion every other month, church from 11 to 12:15 every week. No sunday school unless youre old and your church is old haha.

 

Well according to Catholics as long as you were baptised you have a spot in heaven provided you say you're sorry at the pearly gates when you die. That's my backup plan in case it turns out they were right all along lol

 

I did all those steps in the church and became a conformed catholic. But i just did it to make my mom happy

That's some easy cop out nonsense. The hell is the point of being a guilty hardass if it's just as easy as getting dunked in the Lord's hotdog water and saying you're sorry at the end.

Yeah thats the total opposite of what I believe. Faith is either all in all the time, or none at all.

 

I mean they'd probably describe it in a much more complicated, nonsense filled way but that's the jist of it

But yeah can't hurt to get baptised just in case lmao.

We won't be baptizing our daughter, I know it'll upset my side of the family but luckily my wife wasn't raised religious like I was so she's completely against it anyway. I figure if she wants to do it later in life on her own accord then more power to her, but we won't be pushing that on her

 

Hence why i lost faith in the catholic church, i saw so much hypocrisy it was sad. I have my own faith, and its about being a good person. I dont need to go to church to be that person, but dont hate on those that do. To each there own.

Eh, whatever works for people I guess. I'm super easy going about all of that. I don't care what others are doing if it doesn't affect me and isn't pushed on me. I'm the least spiritual person you'd likely run across, but I can respect it if someone else is making it work for them.
