Morning, can not move this am. Hung a ceiling fan yesterday @ my Boy's house. Removed existing fan and did not like ceiling box and support. So up in the attic I go, installing my tried and true system. A man can do chin ups on this support, solid as can be. Hung new fan and rock solid, no wobbles. Also installed new Nest thermostat, I want one now. Happy Sunday all!

    Good Morning All :hattip:
We're having a great time with grandkids! :)
Cold last couple days (saw negative temps Friday) so indoor activities. Made pizzas last night. :hungry:

Temps back in 20°s today, so going sledding.

    Hope all are well.
Will it be back next year?

hmmm...that's seems reasonable and is hard to argue. Always wondered ...

Taking grandkids to airport for 6AM flight. :(

    Really...that's hard to believe?

I can't wait to see your New Year's party hat.

    NOT legal.

    indeed

    Definitely easier before insulation.

Good morning. Woke up to 43° rain and heavy fog. It is 63° inside so only 20 degrees colder out than in. That will change tonight and when it gets below freezing tonight going to be a shitshow. But enjoying the heat wave while I can.

Damn all you sick bay commandos get well soon! We're getting too old to be getting sick. Just saying..

Outstanding photolog of your Alaska trip! Reading that was a great way for me to start my morning

Gave a huge boar coon hide and 2 muskrat pelts for my first fly rod when I was 14. Yellow Shakespeare broom stick with level fly line and a straight leader. It is a wonder that I stayed with it, but I have been told before that I can be stubborn determined.

In the early 80's was stationed in Puget Sound region (Hood Canal) of Washington State. Caught a 44 lb. King on a #8 with a 10 lb. tippet. It has changed a lot since then there and from what I have read today would have to go to Alaska for the same experience.

Was on recruiting duty in Lancaster, Pa. in the mid 80's and got to know Bob Clouser very well, he turned me onto 3 flies that I still use where ever I fish. I'm in the driftless region of SE Mn. which is limestone also, although I grew up on freestone cricks. Gary Borger is across the River in Wi. Lake Superior has some decent salmon runs but although Superior is the largest fresh water lake in the world it is deep and cold, pretty sterile so they only run 10-15 lbs. And when they run is grouse season and I am focused on running the dog in the woods then.

Could make a smart ass wise crack about those "patagooch" waders leaking but I own some patagonia R4, great stuff. As is most of their gear. Still use my Gary Borger wader boots original edition. And Red Ball waders, they refuse to die so haven't upgraded yet. Yellowstone angler had a wader shootoff in 2013 and used the Red Ball waders as a baseline, last sold in 90-92. Apparently I am pretty pimp LOL.

    James’ Take:
Perhaps the perfect waders to lend to your mother-in-law or worst enemy. While these were the go to wader back in the day, today they might be considered a torture suit or perhaps a “make weight” wrestlers training suit. The suspenders were very flexible however, which was great for watering bushes and no zipper to get stuck on. The feet make you look like Ralphie from the Christmas Story, that or the boy from Where the Wild Things Are. A two-minute walk will make your skin feel clammier than a methadone overdose. Old guys like my dad remember how miserable these waders were to walk any distance in on a hot day. When I took them off after the treadmill test, there was clearly a layer of sweat and condensation clinging to the inside of the wader. Check this out in our Wader Workout Video. All said, if you still own a pair of waders this old school, you’re pretty pimp.

Working on converting my home to a smart home and the Nest will not work with my boiler zone system. :pout:Could run a new power line through the ceilings and walls but don't see that happening.

    Good morning Chief Rob :hattip:

Glad you are having a good time with the family, enjoy it right down to the very last minute!
