07tacoma1991 is a scammer

Hey 07Toyota1991 sold me a shell in disrepair. He lied about the condition and took the money and ran. What a shame that people would scam on this website.

 

There’s no one on this forum by that name, nor has there ever been based on a quick search.

 

Did you buy from this guy through Tacoma World?

 

You bought it in person, so how would condition not be obvious to you?

As far as leaks go, shells leak. You could have a bad seal, it’s a $20 fix.

He bought a used shell as is, in person.
Now isn’t happy.

Unless we’re being literal and op shows up, seller snatches the cash out of his hand and runs away. That’d be a wild story.

 

I think he’s a victim of being blinded by excitement and not understanding that shells don’t always stay water tight.

The seller even offered in the other thread to install it for him and wire the brake light, that isn’t the attitude of a guy taking advantage of someone. Also, OP says it leaks. Could need a new seal, could be that the seal is disrupted when it was installed and just needs to be corrected. Instead of common sense and using eyes and a brain, he calls the guy a scammer. Took the money and ran? Sounds to me like this guy was sold what he bought and that isn’t something worthy of a refund. It’s used, bought as is and in person by OP. End of sale.

Doesn’t add up, and certainly makes OP look like the problem here so far.
