I did not falsely advertise this shell. I have had no leaks out of the shell while owning it, I told him upon install to remove his plastic bed liner and that would create a better seal to the bed. A seal could have possibly went bad and I never realized it.
Ncosmo text me wanting a partial refund of $200 for the shell. I am a fair and honest person but he has had the shell for over a week. He also proceeded to cuss me out via text message.
I was hoping he wouldn’t air his dirty laundry out here, but that’s not the case. I have had several encounters over many years and never a bad review

He wanted to see how it sealed on my truck so I left it on my truck to show him the seal. I bought the shell for $240 drove two hours away, replaced every seal, tinted the windows, had it painted, new turn knob. I had well over $650 in it. I had many local offers of $500 but held it for him trying to help a fellow Tacoma world guy and then get bit in the rear.

Oh for fuck sake....grow a pair. You bought a used product, in person. No excuse whatsoever about the condition after the fact is acceptable. The responsibility for knowing what you were getting into falls solely on you.

Unforentally majority of all toppers leak. Buying new you still have to have realize they can leak. (Mine did but i sealed it). Moving it one to another truck can cause twisting the seals in the window and what not.

Shells are not waterproof so I’m assuming the buyer is unaware or is trying to get a decent shell for pennies at any cost. Or maybe significant other didn’t approve of the money spent. 500 is a deal on a shell. Maybe OP can sell his, go buy a new one for 1500+ and be disappointed when it still leaks.
