Try it, maybe it will work. Unfortunately salt is one of the best methods, they dont do it here in CA, just ash and sand.

i have heard that the insurance cabals have been pulling arms in the local governments to use it more and more and more
they never in the past seemed to use this much for just a little bit of snow! they just threw sand down in the past and told people to slow it down and drive appropriately for winter conditions

Doesn't all of that salt have some type of environmental impact on the land around the roads?

It seems like the water run off from salty roads would eventually run into streams and underground water supplies.

that would be a battle between environmentalists and insurance companies

it definitely takes its toll on roads and bridges, we have already had two metal expansion joints on I-80 through the middle of the city pop themselves out of the road this year, probably from corrosion

What the heck is up with California?? That place is odd. All these stupid rules and everything you buy says can cause cancer in California what about everywhere else?

That is the exact reason it was banned in CA, cause it does have an impact.
the prop 65 guy was a loop hole in our law system, and he made millions off suing companies that didnt fill out the paperwork to state their products dont or do have cancer causing shiznit in it. Its the fact you can sue anyone or anybody with little to no recourse in this state. Gotta take the good with the bad, or move...
