This is true. Maybe the OP doesnt actually "off road" and really doesn't "need" sliders.

Where's the OP? The community needs an end to this story.

One can never have too many light bars.
My dog has never told me I don’t need rock sliders. Just saying.

Only 25% of the posts here are genuine, 25% are outright balderdash and the other 50% are like you but are not able to say it. We all love our trucks, so keep the faith. Perhaps you should get some sliders, they appear to be a conversation piece! :proposetoast:

My wife said she hates the way the hood-scoop blocks the view down the hood. I brought up the subject of putting a Sport/Pro hood in my OR many times. It’s definitely not a “need” situation (she’d rather we spend the $ on other things) but the last few times I mentioned it, the conversation ended with her clearly stating, “it’s your truck, you can do what you want” which really meant no but I took her words literally and made it happen! She wasn’t thrilled but admitted she left me wiggle room for me. Merry Christmas to me!!
That being said, have you considered the OEM cast aluminum running boards?

I put these side steps on my Tacoma and my wife just likes how easy it is getting in and out now.

    piddly stuff
We got married young. Now almost 33 years later i don't regret a minute of it. We have treated our marriage as a team and set goals to accomplish along the way. She has always supported my hobies, to a point. I have never put us in any real debt with them and almost never use household monies to fund them. I have worked many hours of overtime and at some points taken on small second jobs to fund them. Hell she never complained when I built the Camaro, and you guys think sliders are exspensive. With all the stuff I have done on the truck th only time she questioned me was when i bought th snorkel because she doesn't care for them but in the end just shrugged her shoulders and said "as long as you are happy" @EatSleepTacos can confirm I have way too many toys. The house and bills comes first fun stuff happens when funding is available.

I wonder how many wives won't let their husband buy a truck?
