I have always been disappointed in trade numbers. You have to go private sale to get good money and that comes along with its own issues I’m sure you know.

“hey man, want to take half price and deliver it to me? I’ll pay cash!”

I had my in-law Christmas today. Christmas was pretty good to me this year, but I can't say I'm not glad to be over it (and the related stress). I am excited to get back into a normal eating pattern as well. I've been eating large amounts of junkfood (waaay more than normal) and my body is a mess.

I ended up with the popular Kicker/Subaru tweeters and the Kicker rear door speakers I'll have to put in at a later date. I've already got the Kicker 6x9s in the door (yes, I know dedicated components are better, but I didn't want to go down the amp road just yet). I think I'll ultimately get an amp for them and I think I may end up with a dedicated subwoofer instead of the powered 8" unit I have now. I want to like it, but I find it just simply doesn't hit the way I want it to. I feel awful since it was a Christmas gift from the wife a few years back, but I think she'll ultimately understand.

    I found this amp here:
    https://www.crutchfield.com/S-b7FRbtVpRQl/p_206KXA8005/Kicker-44KXA800-5.html

which seems to be a good compromise for what I want to do in that it will beef up my speakers and give me good power for a subwoofer. Then I'll add something like this:

    https://www.amazon.com/AudioControl-6-Channel-Output-Converter-Restoration/dp/B00ATHBO86

for the output control. Call me crazy but I don't hate the stock HU on the truck. I don't like the Alpine option that looks like a tablet and I don't want a smaller HU with a dash kit. CarPlay is nice, but I'm surviving quite okay without it.

Ultimately this is all a pipe dream since unless I rob a bank, with two kids in daycare and a nearly $600/week daycare bill, modifications have slowed to a truly snail's pace. I want the 2020 LED headlamps first and those are something like $1,500 for the pair IIRC. I wish I had some sort of desirable skill I could offer that would make me an extra $300-400 a month without really impinging upon my day to day life. I used to flip parts when I was in the Honda world, but the car supply for what I was into has completely dried up as has the owner's pool.

    /pathetic rant over.

@Pugga, I know it's a brand thing but I have to say GM isn't good about honoring warranty stuff..especially if you're in something with a new engine/trans/etc, prepare for headaches from my personal experience.

Took my truck in for an oil change Friday morning as well as the frame inspection. Of course they come back and say it's rust free thank you fluid film/woolwax. So all they say is they'll contact me when Toyota decides what to use on the frames to protect the this time lol

Yup. Depending on when I install my fronts and rears I might be interested. I'm not looking to shake goes but is like some bass. Also going to need to learn how to change my stereo settings properly using the equalizer and other features

I’m years out from this unfortunately. You’re welcome to hear it, it’s just not what I want because ultimately I’m still 18 when it comes to music.

I remember you saying that. I’ve had my run ins now with Ford, Chevy and Toyota, all for different reasons. It seems every manufacturer has their pros and cons, same for dealerships. I did pass on Nissan a while back when looking at their XD because of the terrible reviews they were getting from a service perspective. It sounds like there will be a blue oval in my driveway for a while now anyways.
