I had this module and the bluetooth extension in my 2005 tacoma for approx 2.5 years now and this thing is kick ass. Plugs into the back of the factory head unit and allows you to add bluetooth connectivity. Clarity is great and pairs flawlessly every time. Only selling because I upgraded my headunit finally. This is perfect for someone with an older truck who doesn't want to shell out the money for a whole new HU. $80 shipped in a USPS flat rate box.

This kit allows for bluetooth calling and music streaming? Do you know if it allows for functionality of the OEM bluetooth calling (connectivity, buttons, mic) but then adding bluetooth streaming?

You can make calls from it, you’ll just have to get your own mic. I removed the one that came with the kit as I never used the functionality. It wasn’t the best thing ever but it worked in a pinch, like most aftermarket HU calling.

Gotcha, thanks for the info. I think I'll continue with my Plan A which is to install a 2014 head unit but if it doesn't work I may look into one of these units.

No problem, this thing has been great to me so it’s a good plan B for you. Good luck!

It should pair just fine. I have had my iphone paired with it, and also my samsung tablet.
