quick question about 2.5 lift

    Visors, Deflector, Husky Liners, too expsensive for good ones :(
    can i get 285/70/17 to fit an 09 dc 4x4 by buying only these to items. Front 5100's and a rear AAL?

    looking for something really simple and cheap. not a major off roader, would like something a little higher for mud and snow.

    @ADSracingshocks - F 3 point ohh / R 2.5 - w/clickers @camburgracing - uniball UCA @rigidindustries - 40" amber/white split, Dually XL, D2 @coopertires - 35/12.5/17 STT MAXX @bayareametalfab - low pro bed rack @toyotausa - 17" rock warrior @sdhqoffroad - rock sliders, a-pillar @hondogarage / @apple / @gaiagps / @dualgps- navigation @wheelersoffroadinc - superbumps
    yes with trimming and probably a cab mount chop

    add to that list that you might need new wheels with 4.5 bs and possible new uca's

    And the lost goes on, a few cheap items to protect your other components:

    • Front diff drop kit
    • Driveshaft drop kit
    • Rear axle shims

    And is you don't want to get new wheels, you might consider at least getting some SpiderTrax wheel spacers to keep the wider tires from rubbing on the UCA.

    - You might be able to find them cheaper, but this is at least a place to start. Even here, it's only about $70 and equates to a fair bit of piece of mind.

    well it depends. If he stays at 2.5" i personally dont see a real need for diff drop. The ds drop will def help with takeoff shutter and the shims should help with vibs as well.

    I'm no expert, so please don't take my opinion as such. However, if I'm going to drop my wheels by 2.5" and I can drop my front diff. for less than $30, you can bet I'm gonna do it. I don't really see any downside (other than potentially reducing mid-stance clearance by an inch or so). I just prefer to eliminate any source of "What if..."
