Yea - I'm seeing. Our Tacos came with 24F (size) for non-tow, 27F for tow. Towing also got the 90 A Alternator, which is why I mentioned it. But I saw only about what you saw when I stuck my Meter on the new battery after replacing - about 14 tops. So, I will read and check. Seems reasonable that if a "Gold" Duralast would be AGF,the "Platinum" would be.... gonna look.

Every 6 months or so, these telephone guys come & pack mule these huge AGM batteries up to their room at the top of the building. Last time they were here I asked the install guys & they confirmed the findings in that thread.

Weird - the AZ website doesn't say it, but the link that took me there does!
Duralast Battery 24F-DL Group Size 24F 650 CCA. ... Duralast Platinum Battery 24F-AGM Group Size 24F 710 CCA. ... Duralast Gold is engineered to deliver the maximum Cold Cranking Amps and Reserve Capacity ratings to meet or exceed your vehicle's original specifications.

So, I guess I will read up on that link, because I'm not thrilled with my headlights. Had Toyota align them when I swapped to the new, WAY too high, and I cranked down a bunch. More to go, because for the second tier Sylvania, I'm not "bright", and the BRIGHTS are useless!

(Never mind my "Platimum", I am getting senile I guess)

You don’t need a agm for brighter head lights just wiring harness and good bulbs.

Well, you DID say it made your headlights brighter, and stereo louder! (Probably too shy to say what else!) o_O:rolleyes:
Everything works together - I expected more from the Star bulbs and new headlight assy - but until I hit the right aim, it won't show up that both are better than what I had. So, need to get that done. Interested in doing the ultimate this year.... but you DID say.....

I got mine for the CCA’s & added peace of mind when I’m on the ice far from any cell phone signal. The brighter lights, better stereo was just a bonus.

:rofl:I’m only sharing my results but honestly it’s worthless to spend the money for a new battery and fuse if the one you’ve got is just fine. Mine left me stranded so replacing it was required.
But yes we’ll discuss the headlight deal more in depth when we link up next.:sawzall:

Mine crapped out after I was laid up for a couple of months with my foot surgery. I knew the Northstar dealer up here so it all kinda came together.

No, I JUST DID replace the battery this month when mine died (at least in the drive). I have the 27F size of the same 24F size battery you got, so that piqued my interest. I am just reading into that thread now. But I already apparently have the battery. I'm still on page one of the info tho, so I will keep on reading.....

    And yea, I like wiring.....

My first one lasted about a year and a half. Second was an optima and died before four years. Now got me a North Star 27f. The only thing is that it’s big, I’m building a new hold down bracket.

Alright, that first post really explains everything, and the SECOND one is some other version of me - back when you had voltage regulators! Before Josh's time, but I know he worked on them. Makes perfect sense, and it's just a little diode/voltage set circuit. But, I'd buy one anyway.
