Welded the slip joint in the steering column. My steering is tight again! :woot:

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
I know your steering would feel tighter if you weld that but it is designed to slip in case of an accident. It keeps the steering wheel from coming at you in case of a frontal collision. Just in case you didn't know.

Yep, thats why its only tacked in 2 spots. Those welds will break in an accident... hopefully lol.

Oh and on my drive back to school (90 miles) I realized I have the wheel cocked to the left by on spline because I stupidly didn't mark it. I guess it is possible to put in in wrong even though it has a notch for the clamp bolt. Now I get to re do it next weekend.

Nice thing was I got the truck for $4000
Went from 285's to 265's for winter. And took her offroading on some class four roads and power lines. I really like how you can flex fully with the 265's and you don't have to worry about your tires rub against shit in your wheel well.

Now that's what I'm talking about... none of this pussy, "I went through a dusty road..." shit. This is real man stuff. Thank goodness for that. This site has, in my opinion, suffered from the same pussification that the rest of this country has suffered from long enough. Keep this kind of stuff going!!!

    :end rant:

    :) :D

I'd even be happier if that lawnmower was on the living room floor! The same floor that you did burnouts in with your Harley. That's the stuff I'm talking about!!

    Carry on...
