    Water heater just died. 21 year old 50 gallon electric. Average expected life 10 to 12 year. Got a plumber friend on the way.....There goes $1000....

    I was just out debating whether to scrape off the trace of snow I left on driveway last two days. In the mid to upper 30°s today and tomorrow with mixed precip ... decided some "texture" would be good if it becomes freezing rain. It's a gamble and will possibly end in an ice melt application...back down to teens and single digit temps New Years Day into the weekend. Hate using ice melt, but this feels like a "catch 22" situation. :notsure:
