do you plan on carpeting at all?

 

Yes, it will get a dark grey marine grade carpet over the insulation once wiring is done for the finish-out.

 

Ok well if thats the case I wouldn't use reflectix not the bars, its to thick to work with. you're gonna want foam sheeting used for duct work.

Beautiful! That's exactly what I was trying to workout. Looks like you found a functional way to do it. So you've got the 1" aluminum face foam for the panels, and the duct insulation around the support bars? And just hi-temp aluminum tape for keeping it on?

I'm guessing you also used spray adhesive too.

 

yes to all that, then I finished it off with interior/exterior carpeting from Lowes

 

Awesome. What sort of spray adhesive did you use, just the 3M 77 stuff or whatever it's called?

I used a combo of super 90 and super 77 as well as rubber 80 3m since it says it can be used for headliners

 

If I had that much room to play with, the foam insulation is definitely the way to go.

I chose to use reflectix to keep as much headroom as possible and help keep temps a little cooler in the bed when out in the Colorado sun. Idk if it makes much difference at all.
