Hi there, I have a 2014 Tacoma double cab 4x4. A few weeks ago the fog lights stuck on. They hadn't been used at all but came on somehow and stayed on. We tried putting in a new fuse. That did nothing so pulled the fuse and left it out. The inside switch also did nothing. Am thinking it's the switch though. Thoughts?

2 different paths to go down, depending on the circumstances. Did the fog lights go out when you turned the headlights off? Or did the fog lights stay on even after you turned off the headlights and shut the truck off?

Depends on what you mean by "fuse." Did you replace the relay in the main fuse box under the hood? They can and do stick closed. The relay for the A/C is the same part and last summer I had my OEM A/C relay stick closed causing the compressor to run constantly.

Well Fullboogie, I can't say that I know the difference but it looks like a typical 15A fuse to me. It's labeled #3 Fog Fr, 15A, Front Fog Lights. When removed the fog lights remain off.

Relays and fuses are two entirely different things. Fuses blow to protect a circuit, relays use low amperage or low voltage power to close a circuit requiring a higher voltage or amp draw, basically a on/off switch that is electrically powered.

OP, take out your fog light relay, set it to the side. Take out your A/C relay, place it in the fog light spot and tell us if anything changes. Do a search for the location of each - there are threads with pics.

Well, that all makes sense. I give the A/C relay suggestion a try. Thanks for the suggestion and explanations. It will probably be a few weeks before I get to trying anything. Thanks again

Fog Relay is in the little box next to the main fuse box...

Caribe - you sure about that? I thought it was the relay directly to the left of the 10a fuse in the main box. The one just below the blue relay with two red marks on it.

Scratch that. I'm thinking of my 4runner layout.

Different setups exist, one in which the fog relay exists in the main box and another in which it is on a helper box. Mine is in the main box. Also mine just got to a point where it was sticking open and only a speed bump would cause it to cycle off, so I replaced it. It happens.
