You'd know right away. The error comes up in 2wd. It won't shift from 2wd into 4. Something it up. I thought the switch would only go back together one way. Guess not!

make sure you don't bend these little metal wiper connectors. They can be fragile

Guys another thing on the 4x4 switch, I almost missed a part. There is a VERY SMALL little piece of black plastic that fell out of mine and I barely saw before putting it back together. I am not sure what it does, but I put it underneath the piece with the "little wiper connectors" posted ^^^^. There was a little hole it fit in. Not sure if it is even needed.

When doing that switch I'd deff pay attention, it was the one that was most worrisome for me as well, everything else was super easy.

What’s the trick to getting the start button ring to stay? Kit was black if that matters. Everything else went in great.

Followed all instructions. Metal connectors aren't bent. Everything went in super smooth, just having issues with the 4WD error message

When I was reassembling the 2/4wd switch I noticed it can go back together in an incorrect orientation. The first time I put it back together I could spin it from 2 to 4, but could not push/spin to 4lo. I took it back apart, and reclocked the inner piece, and just holding the end on, made sure I could spin through all functions before reassembling. Took a few tries to get it right. Also, sounds dumb but make sure everything is plugged back in. Could have sworn I plugged my hvac unit back in but upon reinstallation of the panel I realized it didn’t stay in.

My start ring also does not fit well at the top. Not too concerned about it since you can’t notice it when the hvac controls are installed.

otherwise A+ on the kit, everything else fit perfectly and looks great.

@MESO My start button is also not fitting. It keeps popping out. It seems almost like the ring is too big

Late to the Quicksand party, but I have the other vent and climate control knobs “quicksand” replacements. It’s obvious which you should go with. I’m going to be replacing the other when @MESO gets his in.

Been working on it. Mine came a little weird though. The one with the paint looks to be busted before it was painted on
