So today I was involved on a minor accident, this lady stopped suddenly and I bumped into her car. No major damage, just one clip broken on front center black trim. But on the side where the bumper meets de fender the line is off so I might have broken or twisted that clip (if there’s any)

This picture is just when the accident happen and you can see a bunch of clips loose but all that stuff clipped again without any problem..

Even the line between the fender and bumper is way better than on the picture..

long story short: anyone knows how to detach only the side? To see if I have to buy new clips or mounts?

    thanks.

Just push the bumper back into the fender. They pinch together. On another note, 2019 and the TSS didn't stop this from happening?

TSS-P doesn't work under 7 mph. This looks like he may have been going pretty dang slow.

I had no idea that it didn't work below 7mph. I thought that preventing low speed collisions was the whole point.

Yeah I thought it would work at slower speeds too. But I guess it would be annoying in a parking situation when you pulling up to something really close on purpose.

Also, the Lane departure alert doesn't beep at you below 32 mph.

Just push it back in under the headlight. No need to replace clips as that part of the bumper is designed to press in without additional hardware.

TSS Is only made to lock your brakes down when someone merges in front of you in cruise control, or flash flash "not available" when raining, or beep at random people walking on the other side of the parking lot when you are reversing, etc.

no............... because I pressed the pedal... I think it works when you do not press the pedal. It is the impression that I’ve had on my truck...

This is correct. If you intervene then it won't take over.

Hey were you able to fix this easily? Did you have to take the grill off, or were you able to just loosen one side?

hi man! You are reviving an old thread haha

what I remember is that I clipped everything right back and it’s been ok until now..

I do know I probably broke a clip or two on the front black bumper piece but that’s it..

Not sure if I am helping you at all but that is what I ended up doing.. I basically use the front black piece to bump into things gently.. it is a bit scratched but I am ok with that..

    @Claudiomartinof

Glad it worked out with minimal headache. When you clipped it in, do you mean you took off the grill and everything and put it back in place?

I'm asking bc have the gap where the fender and bumper meet after a little fender bender. I'm wondering if I should take it apart or just use force to push it into place. It didn't budge with moderate force but I could try harder lol. I just don't want to break anything.

Our gaps look similar by the fender.

It should just clip in, but you may need to flex and maneuver it to get it in the right position to clip properly. I had the same issue and realized that the below part had broken. I replaced it and everything went back together snugly.

I might have a slightly bigger gap on the top but it doesn’t bother..

If bumper was easy to remove with only screws, but knowing myself I might brake more clips just by trying to remove it so I left it like that..
