yes, more red. Having both color felt like my truck was having an identity crisis.

one can of satin black with 4 coats and done. Looks a lot better. I’d recommend hydro dipping but this is the next best thing for me.

Good news, I pulled the 4x4 switch and quickly realized something wasn't right. The switch wouldn't turn into 4 lo. I took it apart, reassembled, checked to make sure it would turn into all three positions and sure enough worked as it should.

Im not exactly sure what I did wrong. Either that black circular piece wasn't in properly or maybe I reassembled the switch in the 4hi position. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Now all I have to do is get a replacement start ring. Mine will not lock in, I tried again while it was apart for the second time. I mangled it this go trying to bend the clips too!

I ordered a full kit in black and red start as well. Both of the start buttons leaves something to be desired. Doesn't feel like it snaps in quite cleanly. Otherwise pretty straightforward

Side note, @MESO can you add some half moon thumb cutouts to the clear cover on the packaging, make it easier to pull the cover up.

 

I think it was random. I got the classic matte black sticker.

I've seen others get the holographic style and matte white.

 

Hah! I asked the same. MESO says man up and put your fingernail into it.

He’s probably right. I just didn’t want to mess up the oh so pretty packaging. It’s sort of like Apple, and we know they spend a good amount of money on not just the packaging, but the research that went into it as part of the whole Apple product experience.
