What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Reattached my newly painted steering wheel panels.

 

Totally. I am in the lighting phase of my build at the moment and really want to add scene lights as my truck is being built as a rescue/response vehicle.

 

I had thought about makeing brackets and mounting them to the bed sides. With the roof rack now I'm thinking more on the sides of it to raise the lighting higher and get more coverage

I’m going to be adding scene lighting next week and I plan on doing what I did with my roof lightbar. Zip tie the wiring underneath the roof rack, and then run it down the windshield gap on the side. But go down the passenger side

 

Gotta do something with the volume knob. Sore thumb.

 

Yanked flares and trimmed all front and back fenders, reattached front liners and hit wheel wells with bed liner. Will trim flares and reinstall when Relentless Fab bumpers are mounted!

 

Huh, I will have to investigate this option. I have been thinking run the wires under the cab and up the back to the rack. I think my biggest issue is being out of switch blanks LOL. It may be getting time to consider and auxillary fuse panel

Hey YotaBum, thanks! After reading this and it is definitely bumper on body noise! I was able to recreate the noise in my shop. And definitely way way tighter the .5" as she sits.

Oh for the suspension and what not, running a 3" with 6112 with unknown springs up front and 5100s and tired leaves in back... Has a slight Carolina lean but not on purpose. With what I do with the truck, thinking Deaver U402 stage III's.

LOL yeah I have spent quite a bit lately it might have to wait a bit

 

I had some time today so got my Rigid 360 SAE fogs installed.
I bought a pair of H11 connectors and made up the connection harness. Sealed it up with adhesive backed heatshrink and heatshrink terminals with adhesive coating.
I like the output and cutoff of these. They really cast out to the side nicely and light up what was dark corners before. The bumper may be cutting out some of the output but they are positioned as far forward as far as I can get them with this bumper.

I finally removed the k&n filter the previous owner installed it continued fail to stay coupled together therefor bypassing the filter itself and since I drive in dusty conditions often, it needed to be cleaned way to much. Luckily the intake had a second filter and prevented most of the dust from getting in the motor. Went ahead and got a inclosed cai with a dry filter. The pic is the filter on intake housing with a flashlight trying to shine through.

 

Those fit really really well for such a weird bumper cut out

 

Yup, I want to get rid of my k&n filter for an enclosed one as well...

 

Is that CA smog legal?

Yea they fit well and don't look too bad. The cut out is something that bothers me about this bumper as well as the mounting design of it. I only just got it but am looking to replace it with something a bit more rigid. I got it because I wanted to keep weight to a minimum where I can and it's aluminium, but don't think it will hold up to any winching.
