What is the model? I looked online and didn't see anything like the one in the picture. In fact, I have a hard time finding a hard top option. I think there was maybe one option. That thing looks awesome though, I would like to take a closer look at pics/specs.

Also, watch the weather, western PA is prone to lake effect, but rarely get the big storms. Eastern PA usually gets slammed with a noreaster or two. I have nothing forecasted in the 10 day except for today. The ground is too warm and wet for it to stick at all though.

Is there a way to look at it before then? Any idea on price point? I'm thinking it will probably be on the upper end of 2 and even in the the lower 3k range depending on features, materials, etc...

You can look at @gofsr on Instagram and see if it was on any of the sema videos/pictures. No price point though

A closed height of 7" and a roof rack make it sound awesome. But not sure if you can keep your bedding inside at 7". Pretty sure my sleeping bag is 4" tall

We have the Tepui Autana and really enjoy it. We don't set up the annex as much as we'd like since we are usually on the move the next day, but having the extra awning area to cover the ladder has been nice, plus it gives you more area to get out of the elements, since sideways rain is a thing...

But the annex gives you a ton of space and you can get up and down without "going outside", so you can carry a small port-a-potty for those that fear venturing out in the dark at night.:rofl:

The only downside i've seen so far, is it makes the entrance dark when it's a nice day, so you can't open up both ends and get as good of a view. Also, I usually don't stake out the awning portion and have had it flip up in real windy conditions and also in a nasty Oregon rain storm had it create a giant puddle on it. So after those experiences I created a support bar to insert against the awning bar to keep it from doing that.

Ohh, didn't realize it was hard top and low profile. I'm guessing those two features will put it out of my price range. yeah, 2.5-3" of mattress and canopy won't leave much for bedding. I feel like most bedding will actually compress down to minimal thicknesses though. Pillows may be the exception, but if I put my sleeping bag in the compression bag it came in, easily reduces to 1/3 size.

if you get through REI, Amazon has them for 1750 or so right now. If I didn't need a rack as well I'd spring for a little more, but I have to budget building a rack as well. I'm thinking the $500 or so in savings would be about the material cost or near it anyhow.

when we left GNMW, and were airing up, I saw some shiny bolts in my bed. All except 1 bolt from my bed rack had backed out. Luckily they stayed in my bed

You're familiar with no h rack. That it what I'm thinking, similar to that. Any estimate for that type of build?

@fatfurious2 I didn't see a link to the new tent. Got a link?

They're based out of Oregon, so id guess they're not open yet. I got an email that the preorder is coming soon though

"No H" as in "Jon no H" or something else?

Assuming a 3 crossbar rack, with some bracing and similar, 300$-ISH, but almost certainly less than $500. Depends on two things: spot price for steel and the factor of how interesting vs how complicated the build is.
