Hey guys any ideas would be great. My 3/2 lift has been on for a couple months now. I’ve had the ECGS bearing swapped out and tires seem to be balanced pretty well. At freeway speeds I get a tight vibration felt through steering wheel( not a wobble)and front end. Could my drive shaft be causing this or should I look at cvs ect. The truck only has 10,500 miles on it and I have SPC UCA’s. Thanks for any input. The kit came with a 1/2 diff drop but I have the 1” toy Tec one, might try it and see if it helps?? Idk

Has it always occurred since the lift or just recently developed?

Well yes and no. The truck always had a vibration at highway speeds. My passenger seat shacks back and fourth like its having a seizure. Since the lift just the steering wheel vibe has come about. The shop who did my needle bearing swap, I hope properly torqued my drivers side wheel bearing and not just used an impact. This vibe kinda just started

What makes you say tires "seem balanced"

Vibration only at certain speeds is tire balance 95+% of the time.

Well I mean it’s pretty smooth at lower speeds. Maybe they’re not balanced right, the wheel just doesn’t wobble like other trucks I’ve had

Have you checked for any cupping, or feathering on your tires? Also do you have same vib, after rotation?

How many miles on them? I rotate every 5 to 6K, and take backs to front and cross fronts to back. Even with good alignment tires will get some feather/cup on these trucks.
Run your hand in one direction, and then the other to check for this.

I’m leaning towards having them road force balanced to start and then go from there. Everything is still really new and I haven’t really done any off reading so far so, it’s gotta be the tires. Would drive line issues cause this?

I bumped up tire pressure a little to no avail.

Not likely, a drive line if it's not happening till, what you stated 70 to 80 mph. What tire are you running, and size?

I'd try zip tying the front driveshaft and if it goes away, remove the diff drop.
Diff drops aren't effective on 2nd and 3rd gens. They rotate more than they drop and do very little for CV angles. The rotation can cause bad front driveshaft angles... the front driveshaft sympathetically rotates in 2wd.

Also, 3" lift is 'crazy'...to me. You're just asking for 'it'.

    Right I’ve h
The zip tie won’t damage anything. Just tie it to the frame, I’ve heard about trying this. Thanks for the advise. Is 3” too much on these trucks?? It’s just my daily I don’t do any wheeling really
