Odd, I cant imagine why. The crossbars are adjustable on both racks. Does someone explain why?

My concern with these is they don't lock and it makes removing the tent pretty dang easy. Which is exactly what you want, except when you don't.

I used to leave the cross bars attached. I had a pulley rig setup. Kind of like a gantry crane in my old garage. I had stainless eyes bolted to the crossbars, attach the winch cables to the eyelets on crossbars and apply a little tension, undue due the prinsu fasteners holding the crossbars and hoist away. Super fast and simple.

Before I had done work in the garage, I actually had my little winch/crane setup built out of 2x4’s and wheelbarrow wheels. It also helped with proof of concept when I went to build my garage setup.

I know it’s only a pic from the bunny run, but damn it felt great! Having a kiddo sure puts the brakes on these types of extra curricular activities. My little rug rat played in the snow while I chased down my glory days!

    everyone had a great time!

I thought about that too. Not just theft, I don’t want my tent going rogue in an accident.
