A few months back i came out to find that someone tried to siphon my gas tank. So I purchased a locking gas cap then realized that it didn't have a leash or a way for it to be modified to have one. I came across the gasshole and i freaking love it. I'm the type that would definitely leave the cap at the gas station haha. Everyone's situation is different I guess.

I miss the locking gas door on my first gen. Can’t believe they changed that for second gen.

I was told there is, but I'm not too sure how big the holes are in the screen.

I've had my gas siphoned at a trailhead, over 40 miles from a gas station. I literally found a tube still inside my gas tank when I came back. Luckily I had enough gas left to make it back to town.

Never again will I use a non-locking gas cap! My 1st gen does not have a locking gas door either (2004).

For those not excited about stuffing a wire into a hole and sealing it up with silicon, there's this option:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/3-Way-3-Pi...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

Just installed mine today, and they work great. Thanks for the tips on the wiring piercedtiger, it was spot-on.

I dont believe it was ever designed this way. This is the first vehicle I owned that needs mods everywhere due to make it cheaper production.

@Schackai38, just ran into your post the other day and ordered one of the wrist rests from Amazon. Thanks so much for posting your idea, my knee hitting that door panel has been my biggest complaint (or at least the biggest one left after all my other mods ).
