The speedometer as well as the odometer in my 2000 Tacoma v6 4x4 is not working
I have replaced the speed sensor and gear, Tried a second cluster, checked all fuses, checked grounds, test speed sensor number 2 and the speedometer still wont work.
Thinking it is a wiring issue but unsure of the pins at the cluster to check continuity. also i am unsure how the harness is routed after it disappears over top of the trans.
has anyone else had a similar problem and found a solution?

Do you have an OBDII scanner? THe one I have (blue tooth) connects to my phone with Torque Pro and it will display speed as well. Might help figure out if speed is getting to the ECU but not back to the cluster...

I tried the scanner and it displays the speed as zero.
Does anyone know what connector and what pins are for the speedo in the cluster?

If the scanner reads 0 mph when the truck is moving, then it's not getting any speed input from whatever speed sensor is on the truck. I would take a look at that next first. If that looks good, then I would suspect whatever's between the sensor and the cluster head.

pulled in new wires from the sensor and spliced into the harness at the glove box and its working again
