What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I was able to move 2” on either side by drilling new holes on the license plate lights bracket. I was able to gain 4 more inches of separation. I also just got my amber lens covers delivered from Amazon. I will still consider going further apart but they are fine for now.

Got my other 2 method wheels, just have to powdercoat up the bolts, and get them installed. Should be within three weeks

Unless you crimped it where it shouldn't be crimped it's a poor connection. It appears that you stripped the insulation off, put the wire into the hole of the connector, and only crimped on the wires insulation. The actual copper needs to be crimped upon for a solid electrical connection. But maybe I'm just looking at your picture wrong.

Some day when I'm bored I'll go down to a automotive junkyard and take apart one of each automotive brand sealed electrical connector and show that they ALL crimp directly onto the insulation as well as crimping directly onto the copper wire.

 

After much research and courage from this forum. I finished my three day project of replacing my:

CV axles, inner and outer tie rods, end links, wheelbearing and hubs, upper and lower control arms, ball joints, inner and outer differential seals, coils and struts, caster/camber kit. All Both sides. Topped off with differential fluid change.

But oh my god, the rusted bolts.... kill me.

Whaaaaat that’s sweet iv never even thought about the ability to get an aftermarket key fob like that. That’s a pretty cool idea and it looks sweet. I’ll have to look into that. Do you have any links for it?
