If you zoom in you can see the plumbing comes through the wall. He plumbed the house when we built it, was in multiple times during the basement fit out for multiple things including the fixtures and additional plumbing for the downstairs bathroom.

He remarked that he would have liked to move the in wall stuff over a little, which he actually could have done weeks ago when we laid it all out with him.

Yea I’ve ran into that in custom homes with that style of faucet. Hits the wall before getting full throw and customer gets pissed at me.

Well I’m a plumber and when I worked for someone else I was told where and when . There is a shortage of GOOD plumbers so we are all busy.
I now think painters and carpenters are unreliable.

I can’t tell in pic what may be the problem other than sink and basket strainers and disposal exit ends up lower than drain at wall.

Not lower it was fine he was annoyed the water lines didnt reach without extensions.

I actually started out working for the plumbing/heating company that did all the work for my fathers buildings. So I'm very familiar with the trade.
Hes also been with this house since the rebuild( it burnt down) and was well aware of everything going on with the sink and bar area. What fucking annoys me is when a sub or anyone tells me they will be somewhere and just dont show. I debated setting the sink without the faucet in so he would have to do it from in the cab.

Sounds like you’re in a bad part of the country. Here around the SF bay, from my personal experience as as GC the hardest guys to get on the job are plumbers. Most are guys that also do commercial and as a guy that only does residential it’s a bit hard to convince someone to come do a job where they’ll make a bit less money.

I started out doing finish carpentry and after becoming a GC I figured it wouldn’t be too hard to find a decent carpenter. Holy crap was I wrong. Most guys had that stupid catch phrase ‘caulking will fix it’ I fired anyone that said that.

Bought a house just outside of Boone NC and working on it little by little (when I’m not on ship)
First job was encapsulating my crawlspace and installing a dehumidifier.

Has anyone installed surround sound speakers and hidden the wires? I’m looking for a nice way to cover mine either with some crown molding or a modified version where I can add some rope lighting to add a nice touch when watching movies.

They were also insulated as well as the vents, I need to install one powered vent w/fan just in case I get any Radon build up.

When I bought the house there was a bunch of garbage down there from the previous owner. It was cool due to one of the a/c vents blowing into the crawlspace but still smelled dank and damp. After removing the pink overhead insulation I found the two furthest corners had a slight bit of mold. I killed it with Concrobium and scrubbed it till it was gone and sprayed the overhead with the rest of the Concrobium. The vapor barrier inhibits humidity and/or leaks coming from my foundation walls. The dehumidifier will remove up to 9 gallons a day. An a/c cooled, dehumidified crawlspace= 0% chance of mold.

Best way it to pull it into the wall and repair the drywall when done. If you have crawl space or an attic that is accessible that is an option to limit drywall repair.

My guest room (which was red) was painted a sage. My study which was greenish brown I painted a bluish grey. Both walls were patched, sanded, washed, primed, sanded, washed , primed ,sanded washed again and painted. I need one more coat of paint on each....yes I have a pretty bad case of ocd

That Kilz primer is the bomb!
I used that for both ceiling and the walls. It covers real nice.

I got to play with my new Meth Lab ... I mean pool water testing setup ... to keep making adjustments to the pool, so when spring/summer rolls around I'll be able to start using it.
