Ah I see now. I've seen it on the thread a few times but never knew exactly what it was.

Thanks for the pic, I have been wondering how you cut it to start the braid. This will definitely be a go in the coming weeks.

I am incapable of functioning without her... even when it comes to braiding pork belly...

I'd do them a bit thinner. Or more even... haha. I coated in wooster sauce and then rub then braided. toothpicks or skewers to hold it at the ends.

Backing up a page or so, has anyone noticed that different/aftermarket brand probes give wildly different results, or is that just me? I have a Therm-Pro something or the other, that's been solid, but the way I usually load all types of stuff, I find I use my ThermoPop the most of all.

We get all brands, all the time. However, its not the "display" model that you are seeking. These are just head stamped with the distillery, not with a trademark logo of any sort. I did however, see a fellow on Craigslist with several levels of finishes on several brands. Ranging form plain ones like ours to logo stamped and varnished ones with a finish on the metal hoops as well. Seems he was proud of them, best I recall.

True sir, you make a good point. So ordered it again

PIT BOSS 76340 Pellet Grill Hopper Extension, Black will be shipped to June Bug
    Estimated delivery: Jan. 13, 2020 - Jan. 24, 2020

Will update if it works or not. Looks like it just sits over top of the built in one so not sure how weather proof\resistant it is. They make "stuff" to fix that though.

After looking at all this fine food now I am starving. Need to go shovel snow off the deck first. Nothing fancy tonight, but it will be done outside. Likely on that pellet pooper... :anonymous:

Did some rough calculations when I was clearing the drive of snow and it is still at least half the price of running propane on the Genesis even in the cold at 2 lb. an hour.

I wanna make a drum smoker outta one still. Might just have to burn one myself, but having an actual barrel even sans logo... can be added i guess
