I put an axle seal in and installed one spindle and backing plate

 

Now it's time for new year's party time

 

I decided hood struts sounded more fun than doing a cv. It's not that bad so hopefully it survives tomorrow

 

How bad is it?

Boot is starting to separate where the hose clamp is. Small tear right now and some visible grease...noticed it last week and it survived the ~700 mile round trip road trip we did last week without getting much worse, so I think another trip will be okay.
I always carry my spare anyway so if I had to tomorrow on the mountain I can. As much as I wouldn't want to

 

Rats ate 50% of the car and miraculously it runs and drives fine.

 

I still have a hard time believing I was in this crowd one year. It wasn't hard to maneuver into from the subway.

After it was over, the crowd started running full speed down 6th Ave. That part was kind of freaky.

 

They ate the important bits, like the wiring harness and vacuum lines.
