Campfire cinnamon rolls with some coffee, not too shabby :D

That dutch oven is an unwieldy bastard to store in the camp kit, but its worth it to have.

Did some old-school cast iron cooking the other weekend. Baked beans on the right, chili on the left.

We stuff ours full of of cooking supplies/food, so it's not just traveling empty and taking up space. But you're 100% right; they're worth their weight in gold once you're on-site.

sorry i missed this a while back. i add a cup of shredded cheese and jalapenos to a mix. so i pour half the mix in and do the layer of cheese and then pour the rest of the mix over. the jalapenos just get scattered through the mix.

I breaded some chicken breast, and baked, then broiled, in the 6 inch cast iron skillet. Moist and tasty.
Egg whites, almond flour, salt, green peppercorn, garlic.
    Sorry, no photos.

The drippings, olive oil, were drizzled over it.
It was really good. The almond flour worked really well.

We are trying alternative flours. We like nuts.
The following is NOT off-topic, I use cast iron skillets.
I made pancakes with 3 parts almond flour, 1 part garbanzo bean flour, egg, salt, sugar, baking powder. The taste was awesome. It was a bit more prone to tearing, but doable with a bit of attention with the metal spatula.
