Installed my @SpikerEng hood struts tonight...very cool little mod if I do say so myself. Opens the hood another ~6inches higher and it practically opens itself when you pop the latch, just have to give it a little boost with your fingers and up it goes.

I'll get some pics/video tomorrow when it's not dark out

I almost said that in my post lol, I hate doing rivets. I have an $8 hand rivet gun from Harbor Freight that I used and it worked great, just takes some muscle to squeeze them off. I actually bought a bigger/better rivet gun to try and use for this install, but it was too large to work with directly under the hood. The smaller one is better as long as it has a head for 3/16 rivets.

Install took me maybe an hour and a half, taking my time and re-reading the instructions so I didn't screw it up. I used a 3ft long 2x4 to prop the hood up at the desired height for install.

3rd pedal master race here. I just jb welded the backside of the buttons and gave them a nice coat of satin paint. They look and feel like a factory switch blank. And if I ever wanted to add something, the switches can easily be swapped from a junkyard.

Careful, theres only like 3 years of Rav4 that work. I got mine out of an 02. I know by 04 they had a different bag.

But the Celica had the same wheel and bag setup, just with perforated leather. Looks kinda cheesy imo.

Careful though, being a pre 01 you may need the clockspring too. And the cruise control I dont think will work without some modification. @Speedytech7 and @BartMaster1234 can point you in a better direction then me.

@mechanicjon did a bunch of work on steering wheel swaps (for audio controls I believe), may have some general info on clock spring compatibility as well.

Truck looks great man - super clean! I have the same truck with a manual transmission and I’m getting everything lined up for a similar lift/wheel/tire setup. Do you recall which aftermarket headlights and corners you went with? There are so many similar versions available online it would be great to nail down a reputable version.

When you swap to the is300 wheel do you have to also get the 4Runner column pieces? There must be a gap?

If the cruise doesn't work right. It may require the resistors changed in the switch. This is one i just did for another TW member. He did the steering wheel upgrade to radio controls.
Just compare resistance values if each switch function. Set,cancel, resume etc.

No. Actually the 4Runner trim is exactly the same as the stock Taco trim, only black. No gap.
