Oh I’ll defiantly keep the WSM, I won’t get rid of a grill/smoker unless it’s rusted through lol

Well you could add an ATC to your WSM..

But if you are trying to make it easier on the wife then a pellet pooper is much easier. In my limited opinion. How much food? What type? Kind of needs analysis and a lot of options.

Lot of opinions on brands. Do you need or should look at double walled insulated because of cold? Or could have her work with a jacket for it. Sorry lot of variables here.

    Yeah this worked for me..

And a happy New Year to you also Curt! May we have many more of them

Had enough heat strokes in that sand box in hell can't tolerate the heat any more. And don't care for the cold. 40-60 degrees would work for me all year. Now damn kids get the hell off my yard! Except it usually has snow on it and don't mind watching them sledding down the hill brings back memories, lot of memories...

I recall when you posted those pictures and you laid off that chicken white sauce and sugar. But recall most of all your battle with that damn C shit. My youngest son and I were talking about that today and what he went he went through with Advanced Stage IVB Cancer. He wasn't given much of a chance to beat it but did. Lot of complications but he is in remission. Glad to see you beat the devil. And good on you and your brother both!

    And to @Cold Iron

someone posted this on the pitboss page

looks like it will work. But might have to add weights on the opposite side to balance the weight and avoid tipping

Sounds good to me. It might be a month or so but I'll start thinking about some ideas for it in the meantime.

Awesome and thank you good sir! Did not consider that but have no problem with counter weights. Have 100 lbs. of #9 lead shot in base of the table that is supporting my swing arm mounted monitor right now. And 75 lbs. of the same lead weight for vibration isolation of each of my old school Polk tower speakers. Including the ones sitting on the Velodyne musically set crossover sub.

A happy New Years to everyone. Been picking on my jerked chicken and peppers\onions that I did the other night with the pooper while waiting for tonight's meal.

    jerk chick.jpg

Peppers and Onions got cut up and resmoked and sharp cheddar cheese added at the end with the little smokies tonight. And Sweet Baby Rays.

    Finished.jpg

Turned out great! And worth every minute of it.

Happy new year everyone! Also didn’t get any pics of afterwards as everyone was hungry. I did notice that the flavor was not there as in charcoal or a stick burner. Maybe I did something wrong. Cheers everyone, 3 more fingers of Wellers’s special reserve and I will be done for the night.

Unfortunately that deal ha sailed at my local Lowes. Only options are a Pit Boss Pro 820/1100 or a Oklahoma Joes

At this point we grill 4-5 nights a week. Mostly beef or chicken. I hope that adding a Pellet Grill/smoker would open up options to smoke more food during the week since usually it’s only getting made on my limited days off. At which point my wife could start smoking more pork while I’m away at work lol

It gets plenty cold here in Colorado and right now I use a jacket on the WSM so I could do a jacket for the pellet pooper as well

Late to the conversation and my 0.03$:

Set aside grilling for a moment (yeas I know) - have you considered an upright smoker? Pellet capacity is typically HUGE and meat capacity double huge. Plus works as a wood fired oven with smoke benefits.

    I have a grill for grilling. Don't worry. :D

Full trd pro suspension. Toytec progressive add-a-leaf pack (with overload in). Sema trd 4runner rims. 285 70 17 ridge grapplers. Satoshi grill.
I have the 1100 pro from Lowe's, it awesome. Lowe's will have all the new models out (platinum series)i next few days so the pro series price may drop.

That new Pit Boss Lockhart is cool, but I think I like the KC Combo more. Anyone wanna buy a Green Mountain? Lol
