how you liking that model 32?

I just picked up a model 3 with a few dies but the air setup is on the way for it. Want it on a rolling cart vs floor mounted

I've only done two bends, I will mount it on ground until I make enough money for mobile/swag setup. I have to make the investment back first.

That coupon comes out quiet often. Swag off road does two sales a year or so. Not in a hurry. I need the upper body workout either way.

Speaking of bending, fabricobbled a 48” metal brake together.

tested on some small scrap pieces of steel and aluminum. Hopefully it works on the 48” 0.032 aluminum sheet I have plans for.

Built a welder extension cord holder out of scrap metal I had lying around from other projects.

I hate to say, but I am not impressed with your welds.

Why did you do vertical, when horizontal would have been easier?

Please do not take my comment personal. We all want to learn as much as we can here.

Those are terrible welds cause they are just tacks haha. I ran a full horizontal bead on one leg and decided it was not worth it. The front piece is merely a cover that keeps the cord from sliding off while all the structure is on the 3/16” plate and the 16 ga square tube. So basically I would start the tack on the 16ga and bring it to the sheet metal enough to get a solid tack while avoiding or trying to avoid the sheet metal from warping or pitting too hard. When I did run the full horizontal bead it basically sucked the sheet metal down towards the weld like a giant divet. So I figured 8 heavy tacks a leg for something that’s just for looks and not really structural should be more than fine. No offense taken really. I know they aren’t pretty, more will they hold like the full length welds I did to the plate.

Excellent! I was thinking there had to be more than what we were shown.

    Thankyou for the response.

Just a friendly reminder for everyone to wear the proper stuff while fabricating. Was finishing up a set of sliders yesterday and I dropped a welding magnet from about 40” right onto my toe. Corner of the magnet hit me square in the toe right behind the nail and it hurt like a mofo. Had I been wearing boots like I normally do it would have been fine but I was wearing vans (no protection).

    Toe is turning colors now

You know every time something dropped on my feet with steel toes it always missed the steel toe.

Then getting Steel Toe boots in my width 4E is next to impossible like anything else if it is not comfortable it won`t get worn .

12 hour days on your feet in boots that are to narrow sucks

Why do you need an extension cord ?? If you need a longer input cord just make one .

Every connection is a place for a problem
