Morning all. Wishing everyone a happy and HEALTHY New Year.

 

Here's some of my New Year's Day fun. I'm almost done the skull from my buck a few weeks ago. Did a fox and coyote my in-law bagged last year that I had in the freezer.

 

what is your plan?

 

Just gets some Mop & Glow after dry. Then I tie the lower jaw on with clear elastic string because I like the full skull. Then I hang it on a skull hanger on the wall.

 

Guess I’m in the market for a new battery on top of everything.
Anybody have any suggestions?

 

I went with an interstate

 

Whatever you can get at the local store, generally. I've not had one start going bad in like 10 years. All of mine have gone from working fine to not working at all.

 

Do you have any brand that you favor? There’s 3 auto stores around me not including Walmart so there’s no lack of selection

 

Honestly? Whatever's in the right size.. Almost all batteries are made by 1 of 3: johnson controls, exide, and east penn.

I've had autozone brands outlast name brands.

I am lucky being close to East Penn Manufacturing Because I have such bad luck with batteries .

I have been buying there seconds from the factory store for years with good luck for me.

If I get 2 years I am Happy .

I have two AGM batteries right now one in the 4Runner and one in The Tacoma

Then Work being a Interstate Battery dealer if I need one in a Hurry call in the morning it is delivered in the afternoon .

 

I really hate when I look at the Clock Wrong and get up at least a hour before I really needed to!

I start my new job today at Weavers Nut and Sweets in Ephrata; warehouse manager. Its only 8 miles from home, thats 70miles less a day commuting (compared to going to Reading every day) woop woop!

 

Is that not on US 322 on the right side going west??

Congrats on the new gig!

Spending less time in traffic is a very good thing. My commute takes me through the city twice a day, and it's not uncommon for me to spend two hours a day in rush hour traffic, and yet, I live only 22 miles from my office.

traffic is just another thing I have to factor into my work day... I’m traveling all over the Delaware Valley each day since I’m a Corprate Rep.

learning what roads not to be on and when is just par for the course.

take today for instance: I have to be in university city but I made the appt for 11:30 to avoid I-95 south in rush hour.

I can’t always avoid the shit but I try to mitigate it as much as possible.
