Hey All, I’m in a area that has really gnarly water and I’m wondering if any of you run a filter on your hose to prevent water spots.... Back in the day, we used to use the Mr. Clean Autodry system, but it was discontinued awhile ago... I tried google but not a lot of firsthand info, and I’m just wondering what, if anything, you guys are using? Thanks in advance

You can look in the RV section at Walmart or wherever and find an inline filter that works best at the faucet side of the house. If it filters water good enough to drink, then it's good enough to wash my truck! Haha

The old method of adding a couple drops of Jet Dry to the wash water seems to still be a go-to for water spotting according to google.

I have hard water as well. I know it’s not exactly what your looking for but I spritz each panel with a detail or spray wax prior to drying the vehicle and have no water spots.

I have an whole house water filter attached to my hose reel. There like $35 to $40 (canister) at Home cheapo (Depot) Charcoal filter ($15/$20). Works great, I have super hard water. No spots when washing/hosing down.

I have a portable system from these guys. They're a bit pricier than some systems but I am happy with mine. A resin refill lasts me a summer but how long it lasts obviously depends on how hard your water is and how often you wash your truck.
