Did your neighbor ever get a new kitty?

 

Wow. This photo really took me back for a double take. We had a small Maine Coon, all white with nearly the exact same black toupee. Lexi was such a sweetheart, was definately a daddy's girl, and was rescued off the street near a dumpster. She was given to me as a Christmas present and we were inseparable for 18.5 years. I wish she could have to 30.

 

My sister lives a distance from me, so we just need to find the time to get together and adopt his forever buddy.

Does anyone else's cat sleep under bedding? Mine will try and get under the covers on my bed to sleep. I leave a throw blanket on the bed just for this reason but if I don't make the bed she'll get under the covers. I've woken up a few times in the middle of my sleep with her back up against mine cause she found a spot to dig up the covers.

 

Of my four only Harry will do that and only by himself - he won’t do it if we’re in bed.

I’ve accidentally disturbed him by picking up a throw off of the sofa that he was bundled up in.

 

Bella does this, also when we're not in bed. She'll even crawl under blankets on the couch. I can only suspect that it muffles sound and reduces light for a better quality sleep. When we first brought her home, she did this for nearly 3 days straight as a way to decompress from busy and chaotic cat rescue she was in.

 

Otis does not like to be under covers at all. Sometimes he will try to crawl under when we’re in bed. It’s only to look around for a second, then he climbs out.

Most times, he also wants to be close, just not too close.
