Replacing rancho with 5100 bilstein

So I’m replacing the kit I bought the truck with (some rancho bs) I don’t think they sell anymore. It has blocks on the rear axel. And a couple of days ago I snapped the top off one of the rear shocks off. The rest of the suspension looks rusty and cheap. Not good for salty rough roads in nyc. I can upload some more pictures soon.

My big question is will I need any parts that were chuncked in the first lift when I put the new bilstein 5100 kit on.

 

Just shocks for the rear if you going to keep the blocks. The front may need coils, top hats and shocks if the truck came with coilovers from Rancho.

 

Yeah the new kit comes with a new leaf for the rear. The shity rancho has front coil over and the mounting points are the only rusted parts on the truck. Don’t buy rancho.

Yeah the the previous owner did some pretty bad diy but at 110,000 mi and a pretty comprehensive service record I couldn’t pass it up after my disco died.

Check with @HeadStrong Off-Road Marie may be able to get you into something similar for a better price.

I purchased a 3rd gen take off added spacer up front and the leafs came with an aal. $130 bucks and some elbow grease.
