I definitely did not consolidate 2 2-gang switch panels into a 4-gang with lutron controllers and i definitely definitely didnt do something that made half the outlets in my kitchen stop working. So im absolutely not running my microwave and refrigerator off of extension cords.

Ah wires mixed up. Gotcha. If you have a multimeter you can trace the wires back to the 4 gang box so they’re not controlled by the switch.

in other words, sounds like the wires goin to your outlets are connected to the load side of the switch, they need to be tied to the line side so they aren’t controlled

Would that keep the outlets from working in any switch configuration? I chased all the legs and have them labeled so im not sure what the outlets are running off of.

In houses outlets and lights are usually ran on the same circuit. You just need to connect the black wire from your outlet to the “hot” wire feeding the switch. White wire from your outlet needs to connect to other white wires going to outlets.

are the wires in the box going to your lights only two wires? (Black/white) with ground? Or is there a third wire in a leg?(red)

Yeah I chased everything down and its just black, white and ground. Thinking about it now, I couldnt find the leg going to the outlets and wonder if it fell out of the box and behind the new drywall somehow.
