The GR Yaris has my attention. But sadly USA isn’t getting it.

Awd, manual 1.6l turbo with 250ish hp and over 300 ft lbs of torque is badass.
Meanwhile we get the trd Camry and Avalon... glorified base model v6 Camry and a fancy body package Avalon

Oh I’m glad they exist for sure

Except the supra. I’ve already had to work on 2 of them. Holy shit it’s a nightmare figuring out wiring problems on them.

they are fun to drive though

It’s about as quick as my 06 avalon. Sounds really good. Handles way better than mine.
But my 268 hp and 5 speed 0-60 is only .1 worse car is a lot heavier than mine though

It’s nice. But not for 46k your talking Lexus ES territory. And that’s a damn fine car

i actually had a highlander that poped a piston idling to warm up with 2 miles on it... Toyota came and took that car straight to the aurora facility and dissected it

With the highlander, did they grill you on what you did, how long it was idling, etc? That sounds f-ing crazy. Not surprised at all they snatched it back to figure out what happened.

na no questions. these new cars we can pull the history and see if it was beat on.
my field rep told me the wrist pin didnt have a retaining clip installed. shit happens. the only major engine failure ive ever seen on a car under warranty. only other one i had to do was a rav4 someone overheated when the waterpump took a shit. new block and head on that one

just to clarify lol, wasn't implying you dogged it out or anything just was wondering if they had sent in a few labcoats to figure our exactly what you did and what your opinion was. Had this mental image of you walking around the thing with a bunch of labcoats and clipboards... hahaha

na. they just came with the rep. hooked up to the computer to see if anything odd happened and set a freeze frame or event history, then towed it out.
